Are you the M&A Director who will effectuate broadening our Verder company portfolio worldwide?


The main responsibilities of our M&A Director

Your goal is to manage the entire merger and acquisition life-cycle with a focus on delivering value to the growth strategy of the Liquid and Scientific division. You will primarily do so with a small M&A team. Of course you will work with other disciplines, such as Finance and Business Development, when needed.

Your responsibilities?

  • Ensure that the appropriate framework and programs are in place for all steps in the acquisition life-cycle;
  • Manage the pipeline of targeted companies together with the Liquids and Scientific division.
  • Lead, plan and ensure execution of all steps within the transaction process from financial analysis, preparing valuation models to sending offers letters to performing due diligence and preparation and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements.
  • Plan and transfer due diligence issues into integration action plans in cooperation with the divisions as well as monitoring and follow up on integration status.
  • Nurture and manage a group of high potentials, working on the M&A strategy and part of the team, in such a way that they can grow into our next generation management.
  • Lead cross-functional internal and external teams and experts to ensure that the projects are completed as agreed.
  • Monitor and follow-up on the agreements, such as share purchase agreement and joint venture agreements.

Job requirements

What you will bring to the table?

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in M&A capacity preferably within an international and/or technical company;
  • Excellent knowledge of due diligence processes, valuation and financial modelling and legal contracts associated with M&A processes;
  • A master degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration;
  • Good project management skills;
  • Experience with leading a cross-functional team;
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) and one other language preferably German.
